One might say that J. Richard Secor has an obsession with trees, especially Aspen trees. Living in Santa Fe New Mexico only minutes from the Sangre de Christo mountains, the artist has tens of thousands of aspen and pine trees at his disposal.
"Painting Plein air in the mountains can be challenging - however the beauty, serenity and stature the aspens and the mighty pines present makes the journey well worth the effort.
